We currently have a leadership position in our Business Media division for a Senior eCommerce Manager. This position will have broad responsibility to grow our online ecommerce business across a portfolio of industry leading websites. This includes the authoring of site development strategies and marketing and product requirements documents that reflect sustainable advertising and ecommerce goals, as well as the development and management of tactical initiatives to grow revenue and audience in the immediate term

Major job responsibilities include:
• Working closely with the General Manager to develop online ecommerce strategies which grow audience, improve conversion and increase average transaction size.
• Leading end-to-end online product management for entire portfolio of online ecommerce brands, affiliate networks and back-end systems.
• Creating business requirements and user interface specifications for each site.
• Assisting in the development of business cases inclusive of revenue projections
• Maintaining a strong understanding of, and leveraging, eCommerce best practices around product discovery, relationship marketing, checkout and post-sale activities.
• Performing competitive analysis and research to help shape company strategy and marketing messages
• Contributing to development and maintenance of pricing strategies.
• Monitoring critical ecommerce success factors and remedies for identified problems.
o Track revenue, identify areas of sales weakness and work with sales management to develop solutions.
o Track audience development, identify areas of weakness or opportunity and work with relevant teams to define and implement solutions.
• Must be adept at working across functional groups to meet strategic and tactical goals. In addition to the responsibilities covered above this would include:
o Work with the project management office to facilitate, prioritize and communicate functional and technical requirements of end-to-end eCommerce projects to development teams. Collaborate on technical requirements documentations.
o Work with the ad sales team, on an ad hoc basis, to develop proposals and presentations for key advertisers.

Successful candidates must possess the following experience, education and skills:
• eCommerce experience a must
• BS/BA Degree plus 4 years relevant work experience. MBA desirable
• 2 or more years of team/project leadership responsibilities in a web/eCommerce environment, developing project plans and managing web-based solution delivery from implementation through completion
• Solid understanding of eCommerce best practices
• Strong technical knowledge, project management and leadership skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interface with diverse groups such as architects, developers, QA, operations engineers, sales reps, and audience marketing teams
• Results oriented, organized, highly motivated and detail-oriented with a high level of energy/high sense of urgency
• Entrepreneurial and able to find creative solutions to problems that turn them into business growth opportunities.
• Experience in successfully managing deadline-driven projects .
• Experience supervising others a plus, but not required
