Vibration Analysis Technician

Seeking a self-motivated technician to utilize modern predictive technologies and contribute to our comprehensive maintenance calibration and instrument repair programs. This is a key position for the company and will present growth opportunities to the right person both economically and professionally.   Must have formally documented vibration analysis training.
Responsibilities:
·            Utilizes all available predictive maintenance technologies including, but not limited to, vibration analysis, oil analysis, infrared thermographs, and ultrasounds to determining machinery condition.
·            Maintains accurate records of machinery conditions and related history
·            Maintains, calibrates, and repairs all condition monitoring instrumentation
·            Experience demonstrating skill utilizing the following types of equipment:
·            Hand tools, including hand power tools, digital multi-meters, Calibration/Test equipment, Vibration data collectors/analyzers, Spectrum analyzers and digital vector filters
·            Performs slow speed balancing on machine rotors and in-place dynamic balancing of fans, motors, etc. Installs, calibrates, and operates monitoring instrumentation such as transducers ( vibration, temperature, pressure, flow, etc.) transmitters, and recording devices.
·            Applies knowledge of plant system functions including maintenance work
·            Practices divisional safe work practices
·            Performs emergency response activities as required
·            Operates company vehicles and equipment
·            Performs administrative functions in support of work unit such as timekeeping, materials support, cost monitoring, and scheduling and quality control/quality assurance
·            Performs general housekeeping functions as necessary
Qualifications:
·            Achieve a successful score on the Pow3er Plant Maintenance (MASS) and Plant Operator (POSS) aptitude tests.
·            Must have experience calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing instrumentation.
·            Associates Degree in a technical field or equivalent degree of 3-5 years of job-related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
·            Level I vibration Certification through the Vibration Institute or major vendor certification program or experience and the ability and willingness to complete the Level I Vibration Specialist Certification within two years.
