Web Designer

Summary Description

We're seeking a talented and self-motivated Web Designer to join its Creative team. You will have the opportunity to put your varied design skills to work – including the ability to create intuitive, web 2.0 user interfaces, web pages and sales collateral. Your design efforts will be focused specifically on our virtual world/social network hit product, Zwinky.

The IAC CAP Creative team is responsible for building animated character-driven products, UI designs & flow for our toolbar products and portals, as well as all online marketing/advertising materials. We do it all, we do it well, and we do it in a friendly, supportive, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with Product Managers, Producers and Developers on implementing static and interactive designs, as well as static, HTML and Flash based prototyping
• Work to optimize assets that address business, brand, market and user requirements
• Work on multiple projects with tight timelines
• Be an active participant in product development brainstorming sessions

Technical Skill Level

• Ability to create static, HTML and Flash design prototypes
• Knowledge of developing trends as they relate to online applications – both from the design and technology side
• Ability to keep up with latest design and editing software enhancements, and incorporate into your day-to-day workflow
• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to optimize creative assets for online use
• Strong conceptual skills
• Strong illustration skills a plus
• Ability to troubleshoot
• Strong typography skills
• Strong knowledge of color

Required Experience

• 3+ years experience designing in an online environment, experience in multimedia and a visual portfolio including URL's
• Formal training in design with proficiencies in:

1. UI design (Flash, HTML, CSS)
2. Adobe CS3 Suite (Flash and Photoshop are key)
3. Illustration skills (huge plus)
4. Animation skills (a plus)
5. Actionscripting
6. PC Environment
